Come fly with me

9 Jan

Following ‘Little Britain’ and ‘Little Britain USA’, Matt Lucas and David Walliams bring a wacky new series to our screens, ‘Come Fly With Me’. This new series differs from ‘Little Britain’  as it is filmed in a Mockumentary style unlike the previous comedy sketch show style of ‘Little Britain’. ‘Come fly with me’ documents the lives of employees who all work at a busy airport, although fictitious, this programme is very much like the television series ‘Airline’.

Many of us have come across characters like those in the programme which makes this series so appealing as Lucas and Walliams have captured the mannerisms and personalities of the characters the flawlessly, as usual, and altogether it makes a hilarious watch.

This is a short clip of one of the characters:

I enjoyed Little Britian but ‘Come Fly with me’ (even though its a good idea) has to be most tired TV show these guys have ever produced. BBC license payers in this case I feel have been ripped off. FAIL

I have to say this is the worst piece of ‘comedy’ I have seen on mainstream TV for years. A lame and sometimes insulting parody of the almost 15-year old ‘Airport’ documentary, it fails to raise even a feint titter bar at the ludicrous nature of Walliams and Lucas’ plastic disguises. I’m not sure how funny these two think they are, even less does anyone of African descent feel like trusting the nation’s public broadcaster with their racist caricature, on a level with the black and white minstrel show of the 1970s. Let this 6 episode series be the last in this dreadful offering.

generally, when someone does not understand something, he ends up not liking it and finally, hating it.
David Williams and Matt Lucas are extraordinary comedians. They see the reality through comedy eyes which is brilliant. They make us laugh about ourselves which is the healthiest thing we can do. If you have not seen any of their scenes some how in your life, you must be really isolated from reality. If you ever travel with a cheap airline, you will remember Come and fly with and your painful queue and running to the plane will be less sad.
        Have a laugh PLEASE

Never really found this pair funny, the bald fat one was ok on that geordie show, but not sure what the purpose is of the other guy, he seems to be an actor and thats it. still, the airport show is not even funny, in fact the people on the genuine shows like this are funnier, because they are real… its astounding that no-one realised that trying to fake genuine people is not funny, because, ultimate eccentriity is funny and cant be mimicked. Am so shocked at how bad this is, although, i didnt see anything funny in that other show they did – more characters with over used phrases. i’d love to hear an audience reaction to this crap – why on earth was it not piloted? – would have helped the people who wrote the shit.

I think this is the best comedy series on TV at the moment.Just want I like to see ..A good old belly laugh at the things that we see at the Airport and in life….I dont normally like Walliams and Lucas, but they have come up with good idea in this program.Wouldnt be surprised to see spin off with some of these characters.
Havent we all come across some of these characters ??

I never liked Little Britain but I absolutely love this program. There are so many wonderful characters especially Precious and Ian. I don’t find it ‘tired’ or ‘lame’ but then I liked ‘airport’, maybe that’s the reason.

The series has been excellent. Think you have to watch a couple before you really get the feel for it. Lucas and Walliams are just brilliant at creating and acting out the vast array of characters, they are just naturals! Loved the immigration officer, Omar, the pilot duo and the customs guys sketches, all hilarious! I’m sure some people will be offended by some of the characters, like the immigration officer, but this is comedy and it’s a great forum for us to laugh at ourselves and others and for it not to be taken seriously. Great work guys!

this is not funny at all, my brother started wating this because he’s a huge Dr. Who fan and there was a darlek in the advent for this, and now, he keeps on quoting the so called jokes from the show, how come there is so much rubbish made by the BBC? Dr. Who was good with David Tennant, but now it fetures bad writting, rubbish acting, and our tax payer’s money going towards it, I’m quite a fan of the BBC, but they domakeaot of rubbish now, this show being aperfect example, Little Britain had great chareters and great jokes, this is nothing like that.

Hello this is somewhat of off topic but I was wondering if blogs use WYSIWYG editors or if you have to manually code with HTML. I’m starting a blog soon but have no coding experience so I wanted to get guidance from someone with experience. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi there I used a wordpress template for my blog…it’s a WYSIWYG editor, I didn’t do any manual HTML coding, it’s very simple to use!
